Volunteer Management Training
Whether you involve 1 or 1,000 volunteers, your organisation needs to ensure it manages volunteers effectively – and by that, we mean everything from how an individual volunteer fits in and works along side paid staff (if you have them) to creating and maintaining extended volunteer programmes. Central to any successful volunteering programme, big or small, is effective volunteer management.
Who should attend Volunteer Management Training?
Attendees can be individuals paid or unpaid who have responsibility for managing volunteers.

Module 1:
Planning for Volunteer Involvement

- Identifying and developing volunteer role descriptions
Module 2:
Volunteer Recruitment and Selection

- Interviews process
Module 3:
Day-to-Day Volunteer Management
- Induction and volunteer agreements

- Exit interviews
Module 4:
Dealing with challenging situations & programme development
- Dealing with challenging situations
- Benefits of having a volunteer policy
- Developing your policy
It is expected that participants will attend all four modules as they are designed as part of a continuum.
The cost to attend all 4 modules is €100 and a certificate will be given to those who attend all 4 modules.

Securing your place
Once the dates are announced, you can secure your place by returning our registration form which can be downloaded by clicking here and the required fee to the Centre. Please note places can only confirmed on receipt of both and are offered on a first come first served basis.

Volunteer Managers Networking Breakfast
An informal opportunity to meet other Volunteer Managers and share ideas and insights on managing Volunteers. At each event the Volunteer Centre will share best practice information and we generally set a topic in advance, so volunteer managers can attend breakfasts that are most relevant to them. All are welcome, so do register with us and keep an eye out for our Newsletter, for upcoming events.
