Project Description

Researchers at UCD’s Neuromuscular Systems Lab are currently recruiting volunteers to help with their research on COVID 19. To get involved is very simple and takes about 10min to complete. All that the volunteer has to do is find a quiet place to sit and record 90 seconds of their breathing using the voice recorder app on their smartphone. The breathing recordings that you send will help researchers to develop a smartphone app that helps doctors to remotely monitor patient symptoms and determine the need for re-hospitalisation.

You are invited to participate if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 OR to participate as a healthy control subject if the following points apply to you:
1. You have not been diagnosed with COVID-19;
2. You do not have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19: a fever (high temperature – 38 degrees Celsius or above, any kind of cough, shortness of breath (breathing difficulties) or loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
3. You have not been in close contact with anyone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
