This is National Volunteering Week and we want to than
k YOU for volunteering in your community.
One of the aims of NVW is to appreciate and recognise local volunteers for their hard work and the difference they make to local communities. This year as a way to show appreciation to our volunteers the Dublin City South, Dublin City North and Fingal Volunteer Centres have teamed up to create the ‘I am a Volunteer’ discount scheme!
There are over 30 discounts from local businesses spread through out the Dublin City Centre area. We hope you take the opportunity to use them and reward yourself for all the hard work you’ve done, we couldn’t do it without you! If you are a volunteer registered with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer Centre, send an email to sarah@volunteerdlr.ie and you’ll receive a copy of the card with a list of the places that the card is valid.
National Volunteering Week is also about raising the profile of volunteering, so if you’re a volunteer we’d like you to help us by telling everyone you email that you’re a volunteer. Add this to your email signature:
“I’m a volunteer, why not volunteer too?”
