St. Catherine’s Association, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow, is a non-profit making organisation which provides education, training, healthcare and residential/respite care to clients who have intellectual and other disabilities. They would love you to volunteer to make sensory (comfort) blankets for the young people in their care. Sensory blankets (or comfort blankets) provide a wonderful source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation for children with intellectual disabilities. They can have tactile pockets, scents, favourite reference objects, or even include a family picture.
