Project Description

How do you start a sustainable diet? Can you reduce your meat intake? Could you increase the number of meals you eat that are plant based? Can you avoid food waste? We really like the information being shared by the British Dietetics Association. See their tips for a sustainable diet, sustainable fakeaways and sustainable hacks (ingredient swaps on recipes for porridge, burger, tikka masala etc).

Check out these meal swap ideas . They also have a useful factsheet for those on plant-based diets.

Would you consider trying Meat free Mondays? Have a look at the campaign website to find out more.

Have a look at Global Action Plan’s tips and suggestions here.

There is an opportunity to take part in a research study with UCD, trialling a diet that is good for you and the planet. Check out the MyPlanetDiet study here.

Note: we do not recommend making any radical changes to your diet, e.g. moving to a vegan diet, without thorough research and / or advice from your GP or a dietitian. Completely plant-based diets need to be carefully managed.
