Project Description
Revived Yarn is a community of knitters and crocheters who make handmade garments to warm the homeless of Dublin. The community provides a sustainable way to warm people affected by homelessness and poverty while creating a tightly knitted community! They would love you to get involved as a volunteer knitter.
They are taking in donations of knitted items in now, and being supported by the Muslim Sisters of Eire for distribution of knitted goods. If you are planning to make a donation, please contact Elisabetta Melis for details on the postal address for your creations. You will find further details of their COVID-19 protocols here.
If you would like to get involved, there is more information here, suggested patterns at this link and there is also the option of donating yarn, details of materials needed here.
You can contact the project coordinator, Elisabetta Melis on revivedyarn@gmail.com to find out more.
