Project Description

Researchers at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, are conducting a study to determine if there is a relationship between sports spectatorship and attitudes towards people of other ethnic backgrounds, and they would love you to get involved!

Your participation involves the completion of a 5-min online survey. The survey will gather simple demographic information such as gender, age and ethnicity. It will explore your viewing habits of soccer, basketball or another sport in a professional context, your attitude towards a self-selected athlete from one of these sports and your attitudes towards other ethnic backgrounds.

It is anticipated that the research will provide findings that can be used to uncover the factors that may facilitate a reduction in racism in sport.
